This world needs God’s kind of love. Sometimes we have every type of information- its cold and callous. Religious knowledge today is often lifeless during a time when people need the Life of Christ. Much of the religious world is sliding towards what Jesus’ warned against ‘the love of most will grow cold.’ (Matthew 24) What a frightful thing when the Love that birthed us wanes from our lives- and we live our lives like slaves, fearful of what every unbeliever fears. Many religious people are slaves of fear, hatred and unkindness. We need our hearts filled with God’s love every day!

God’s love is very real and truly simple. In a place we are told “what counts is faith moving with love.” (Galatians 5:6) “Love from a pure heart, a sincere conscience and a true faith.” (1 Timothy 1:1-6) Jesus defined the real message in the Gospel as “loving God with all your heart and loving your neighbors around you.” Oh, this world will become such a wonderful place if we do what what Timothy was told, “pursue love and peace with all men.” We have to pursue love or else we are pursuing something else. God grant us grace to walk in such humility, power and truth.

“COME AND HELP US REACH KENYAN KIDS IN REMOTE REGIONS NEGLECTED”… in many parts of Africa children learn in makeshift structures and even under trees. Our work together with your partnership will change the lives of children and their village……. forever!

The projects listed below are updated. We post about various outreaches, projects and regions (and then delete after they are finished). These are connection points/opportunities for short term teachers, artists, musicians and ministries. God has helped us to focus on practical needs and spiritual needs, for both are important to Him. :

*Anyone interested in building/practical assistance with Shiloh House Missions projects will be given priority. Prior experience in missions base or school building in Africa is helpful. Must be willing to raise your own personal support and contribute to the vision of Shiloh House Mission in a meaningful way. *Short Term Teachers- 2 different school positions currently open. Have you dreamed of impacting African children….forever? 1 to 3 month opportunities available (beginning), contract basis (former missions/overseas experience a plus). *Primary Healthcare/ Healthcare Development (villages) Are you a qualified doctor or nurse wanting to pioneer in places that are unreached or neglected? Are you a pioneer with faith? Contact us at shilohhousemission@gmail.com for opportunity. APPLICATION DEADLINE NOVEMBER 30 2011

*Safari Adventures. We gear our mission towards frontiers and regions that are neglected (villages). Serving through Shiloh House Mission will test your character, skills, patience and faith. People who come say their experience is ‘life-changing’. Now if people want to come and ‘view animals’ we have qualified professionals (friends of the Mission) in Nairobi and throughout Kenya. They can take you on ‘animal safaris’ to your heart’s delight. Contact shilohhousemission@gmail.com

*Gifts valuable to the Mission- Malaria Medicine. Children perish for lack of 5 or 10 dollars in analysis, test and treatment. Snakebite Anti-venom. Just the injection anti-venom can save the lives of village dwellers. Last year a handful of people perished from no anti-toxins available. Educational Resources- Anything from DVD’s to cartoon, to computers can be used. Playground/swings- In the West we are accustomed to playgrounds. In Africa you are fortunate to find one or two in an entire developed city. Since our Mission is in totally un-developed areas, we know that a jungle gym can reach the hearts of kids and youth. Youth centers give idle youth a place to exercise, evangelize and belong. Laptops and music equipment to reach Kenyan youth.

*Child Sponsorship/School Fees- The month of January passed by. Its the most stressful and burdensome time for village parents and children. I can’t describe (yesterday) how it feels to see parents who struggle to earn $50/ per month and pay their school-fees (and still eat, pay rent, clothe their children!) Its one of our most pressing concerns, how to help children. We are taking 2 children to school right now and want to reach neglected areas such as the North Arrol/Tugen Tribe (Bartabwa), Pokot, and Turkana Tribes. This is one sure way to educate, disciple and reach the unreached tribes and regions. Pray about what God would have you do. When I was in high school i began child sponsorship (World Vision), and I never knew that we would begin our own Child Sponsorship. Now with Shiloh School (our own) and in partnership with Christ Dominion School and Citadel Academy, Katibel Primary and other village schools. Its exciting to transform village children forever!

———————————————————————————————–

Since the time of Abraham God has been concerned about the well-being and upbringing of kids/youth. What will we say about our generation? What will we pass onto them? Our ceiling should be their floor- they should be moving at a much higher level of truth, revelation, passion for Jesus and success. Will we have Abraham’s legacy= Abraham…Isaac and Jacob? Paul the Apostle said “Timothy, this faith lived inside you, it was in your mother Eunice and inside your grandmother…” Will this generation pass the torch to three successive generations? It is God’s will to raise up the next generation of youth leaders/ visionaries in Africa.

Is the Lord Jesus Christ stirring your heart towards prayer, evangelism and outreach to the unreached on the African continent? Pray about becoming a regular prayer partner/financial partner- The amount of a cup of coffee per day ($1-2) accomplishes so much in these distant villages. Giving only one dollar per day is like planting a seed in God’s Kingdom which will in turn bear many trees with seeds!Jesus’ destiny for all of us is to bear fruit. Fruit- the lives of people who turn to God and learn to love and serve Him in sincerity and practicality.

Let God lead you and you will discover our secret at Shiloh House Mission- its a joy to be partners in the harvest here in Africa. Thanks and may prosperity, health and the Gospel of Christ guide and surround your family, even as He does our families here in Africa.

THREE VALUES THAT MATTER TO US AT SHILOH HOUSE MISSION:

1) The attitude of the pioneer. The world is full of people who blame others. Its alarming throughout the world- tribalism, racism and anti-Semitism. There are whole cultures being overtaken by a deceiving ‘entitlement’ mindset = “someone owes me something.” Entire cultures blame other groups for their problems. Shiloh House Mission is pioneering- we work with pioneers, we are pioneers and we raise up pioneers. We don’t have time to wallow in small problems and shift blame around. As you study the lives of great missionaries in history, you’ll discover they didn’t ignore the problems of the world, but rather courageously embraced Gods ways and God’s solutions. This is the essence of pioneering= God’s truth and God’s solutions are greater than any problem. Every true Christian is called to pioneer is some way or another. No true Christian should be blaming anyone for their woes, for we carry Jesus Christ the answer inside us wherever we go. You/I are not a victim any more- but we are sent to help those in need. The love of Christ boldly goes where no man has gone before.

2) The attitude that loves to learn. This is what the Bible describes as ‘discipleship’. Jesus invites all who come to Him to ‘come and learn of Him.’ This is one of the richest, most glorious calls we could ever embrace. One feature of the success of God’s friends in Scripture is that they loved to learn. Whether in the Book of Proverbs, or Joseph in Egypt or Paul on the Island of Malta- the love for learning (God’s ways) drove them to impact every nation they encountered. If you study the life of Abraham you will see a continual attitude of learning and adjustments. Too many people today yearn to ‘arrive at success’ which can erode the passion for continually being taught and transformed. We at Shiloh House Mission are life-long learners. Every success is a secondary one. We are thankful for success, but are focused on learning a new thing, today. Every Friend of God in Scripture had to have a humble attitude- called “the love to learn from God” and from the people He puts in our lives. If you can’t adapt and make adjustments, you will never survive or thrive in your missions calling.

3) The attitude that loves to serve. We at Shiloh House Mission find ourselves always to ‘serving the servants.’ We are linked throughout Africa with other like-minded missions and indigenous ministries who are Jesus Christ centered and carry the same spirit of service. The self centered never succeed. We believe that the Love of God is changing the world and its our desire to be filled with that love, unto radical transformation. Spiritual growth is marked by practical service and help. We believe the deeper you embrace spiritual disciplines (prayer, Bible reading, meditation) is the depth you come out with the spirit of love and practical service. This attitude has given us many keys to reach people in the places we work. It also attracts the right people in our relationships both locally and internationally. The attitude that serves is a secret to missionary success since the era of the Early Church.

These 3 core values (attitudes) of Shiloh House Mission outreach can help you determine whether you fit in with our Mission here in Africa. We esteem these three Christ-like values equally. If you consider yourself a pioneer and yet don’t have an attitude of service and love for learning, you won’t enjoy our Mission. These 3 Biblical values summarize the attitudes of discipleship in the New Testament.
